About

Researcher, founder, professor.

I work where frontier robotics meets the conditions of the real world — technology, people, regulation and markets.

Academic path

ETH Zurich → Harvard → TUM.

I completed my PhD at ETH Zurich’s Sensory-Motor Systems Lab and continued as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Today I am Professor of Robotics and Systems Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich.

Eight years as founder and CEO.

I founded Reactive Robotics in 2015 and led the company from research to a regulated medical product used in hospitals across five countries — spanning product development, CE and FDA clearance, sales, financing and teams of up to 50 people.
